Welcome Baby Cami

So its been almost 2 years since our last posting. I guess I'm not cut out for this blogging thing. Anyway, I thought it would be worthwhile to introduce our newest addition to the Wong clan....Camdyn Isabelle Wong. See below for the stat line:
Born February 1, 2008 at 1:21 am, 6 lbs and 12 oz, 19.5 inches long
The two older girls just adore their new little sister. Check out the pictures and hopefully, it won't take another birth to post our next blog.

Disneyland Part II

Highlight for the girls: visiting their favorite princesses and getting their autographs – again. Although this time, Ashlyn was not afraid to talk to them. When she was asked by Snow White “oh, is this your little sister? What kinds of things do you like to teach your little sister?”, Ashlyn answered “sign language”… Snow White was quite surprised by an answer she probably doesn’t get every day.



Of course, we saw Fantasmic for the 168th time (you think we’re kidding, don’t you?), and the girls are shockingly not disturbed by the loud music, noise and somewhat scary imagery. This time, Ashlyn actually listened to the narration that starts the show, of which one line says “nothing is more powerful than the imagination”. In response, Ashlyn says “but isn’t God more powerful than the imagination?” Mommy answers “yes, but maybe they don’t believe in God”… then Ashlyn ponders and says “oh, but I can’t get over the river to tell them about God!”

Ashlyn won her first big carnival game (the one where you rolls balls into the holes which makes your camel race across the board) where she came from behind to beat out 12 other players! she won a giant fuzzy easter egg. Her smile was worth a thousand words.

Disney World 2006

The majority of our Florida trip was spent at Disney World. This is Ashlyn's fourth visit and Morgan's second visit to the Happiest Place on Earth in Orlando. We stayed with our good friends, Lisa and Paitoon, in Kissimmee (about 35 minutes from the parks). Thanks to our good friends' friend, Mark, who works as a stage manager at Disney's MGM Studios, we were able to go to the parks as his guest. We had a great time playing, relaxing, catching up with our friends, and recharging for the year. It was an excellent way to kick off the new year.

Below are some illustrative memories from our trip.....

Animal Adventure

The family spent 10 days at our favorite travel destination....Florida. Upon the recommendation from one of my colleagues, we went to Lion Country Safari (www.lioncountrysafari.com) in West Palm Beach. The girls had a great time viewing animals on our drive-through safari. We also enjoyed the rides and animal feedings afterwards.



Here's Ashlyn feeding the sheep. She seems to really enjoy feeding and interacting with animals.

Morgan, on the otherhand, is still warming up to the idea.

We did some paddle boating...I should say, Christine and I did the paddling....

And of course, the highlight for mom and dad....two girls sleeping soundly.
